St John’s Episcopal Church has long been a presence in Townsend, Montana. Our building, which just celebrated its 100th birthday, is located at 314 N Cedar St.
Unfortunately, in recent years St John’s has dwindled to a faithful few. With the recent hiring of a new priest, St John’s is looking for a new and exciting future.
Join us Sunday mornings at 11:30 for worship!
Sadly, St John’s has come to a point where the responsible thing to do is close. We are in the middle of working with the Diocese to determine how this will work. As we learn anything concrete we will share that information in responsible and caring ways.
At present we continue to meet at 11:30am on Sundays to celebrate Eucharist. All are welcome.

Diocesan Convention is this weekend! Diocesan Convention is our chance to see our friends and colleagues, new and old, hear about what is going on around the Diocese, and conduct some business.

March 28th, 4pm, St John’s Townsend (314 N Cedar)
This service, which is often called an installation, is in the Book of Common Prayer on page 559. It offers us the chance to solemnize our relationship as priest and congregation and to celebrate the work we will do together. The Bishop will preside.
